What the score actually measures

The busy score compares the hours you've already committed — meetings, commute, appointments, anything with a fixed start and end — against a typical 16-hour waking day. It's a blunt measure of how much of today is already spoken for, not a measure of how hard any of it will be. A day packed with easy check-ins and a day packed with back-to-back deadlines can land at the same score if the hours match.

Use it the way you'd use a fuel gauge: a quick read before deciding whether to say yes to one more thing today. If the score is already past 65 before lunch, that's useful information before you agree to squeeze something else in.

Frequently asked questions

How is the busy score calculated?

Total booked time across all your blocks, divided by a 16-hour waking day, scaled to 0–100.

What counts as busy versus overloaded?

Under 40 is wide open, 40–65 is a normal day, 65–85 is busy but manageable, and above 85 leaves little room for anything unplanned.

Does it account for how demanding each block is?

No — only the time booked. It's a starting signal, not the full picture of your day.
